Boilermaker, fabricator, Welder (Pakenham)

About the role Wix Engineering is seeking an experienced boilermaker/fabricator/welder to join our skilled team in Pakenham, VIC. This full-time position is integral to the ongoing success of our engineering and manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for producing high-quality metal fabrications and carrying out specialised welding work to the highest industry standards. We are a job shop type workshop mainly doing architectural structures, stainless and ms handrail and balustrades, ally fab jobs, pipework, construction equipment, site installations etc. We also offer multiple positions both site and shop based work. What we're looking for
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble metal components and structures
- Operate a variety of welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Arc) to join metal parts and assemblies
- Collaborate with the engineering team to solve problems and improve manufacturing processes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
- minimum 4 years experience in boilermaking, metal fabrication, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Valuable communication and problem-solving skills
