Project Cost Controller Goonumbla

Job Title

We’re seeking a highly capable Project Cost Controller to join our team at Northparkes. This position is responsible for providing end to end cost control support across capital projects, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with governance requirements.

Responsibilities

Managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting and reporting

Analysing project data to identify cost overruns, risks, opportunities and scope changes

Supporting the implementation and adherence to project governance processes, policies and procedures

Maintaining accurate project data and reporting systems, including SAP Project Builder

Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information flow

Providing administrative and document management support across project activities

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across cost control and reporting practices

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in project cost control or a comparable financial/project role

Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, forecasting, reporting and document control

Strong working knowledge of SAP and intermediate Excel

Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends and communicate insights clearly

Experience working with project stakeholders, contractors and cross-functional teams

Excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills

High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on quality outcomes

A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities

Robust interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
