Mining IT Technician | 9-Day Fortnight & On-Call Support …, Parkes Shire Council

We're looking for an IT Technician to join our client's team on at a local mine site. You'll provide day to day IT support across site, helping keep systems, networks, and users running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support (hardware, software, network issues)
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Manage helpdesk tickets and escalate when required
- Install and maintain systems, applications, and devices
- Support network infrastructure (switches, connectivity, VLANs)
- Maintain IT equipment and asset inventory
- Assist with IT projects and system upgrades
- Support users with training and best practices
- Participate in after-hours on-call roster About You
- Experience in IT support or similar role
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Great communication and customer service
- Able to work independently and in a team Desirable:
- IT or STEM qualification
- Networking, Microsoft, or ITIL certifications
