It Technician Parkes Shire Council

We're looking for an IT Technician to join our client's team on at a local mine site. You'll provide day to day IT support across site, helping keep systems, networks, and users running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line IT support (hardware, software, network issues)

Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems

Manage helpdesk tickets and escalate when required

Install and maintain systems, applications, and devices

Support network infrastructure (switches, connectivity, VLANs)

Maintain IT equipment and asset inventory

Assist with IT projects and system upgrades

Support users with training and best practices

Participate in after-hours on-call roster

About You

Experience in IT support or similar role

Robust problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Outstanding communication and customer service

Able to work independently and in a team

Desirable:

IT or STEM qualification

Networking, Microsoft, or ITIL certifications

Experience with Cisco, SAP, or similar systems
