Motor Mechanic (Arundel)

We are looking for a full time Motor Mechanic to inspect, service and perform repairs on all makes and models of motorhomes and caravans at our busy Gold Coast workshop. This is a hands-on role where your mechanical expertise ensures our customers' safety, is your number one priority. ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Undertake axle services, replace and repair bearings, brakes, suspension, hubs and wheels
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts, reassemble mechanical components, and refer to logbooks and service manuals as needed.
- Fitting and balancing tyres, conducting wheel alignments, and checking for tread and pressure-related issues.
- Keep accurate service records, follow workshop procedures, and comply with safety and environmental rules.
- Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair for proper performance and safety SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for mechanics with
- A strong safety-focus and attention to detail
- Certificate III or higher in Automotive Mechanical Technology or a relevant qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a similar environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with modern tools, computerised diagnostic equipment, and workshop systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate valuable judgement
- A forklift license is desirable but not essential
