What you’ll do
- Prepare, bake, and finish a range of pastries, desserts, laminated doughs, cakes, tarts, custards, and chocolate work to Profiterole standards.
- Assist with menu development, new recipe testing, and seasonal dessert concepts.
- Maintain consistent product quality, portion control, and presentation that aligns with our brand.
- Monitor quality, freshness, and inventory; support order planning and pastry production schedules.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and secure workstation; adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff and interns as needed. What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, Pastry Chef, or similar role in a high-volume bakery or restaurant.
- Formal culinary/pastry training or degree.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking science, chocolate tempering, sugar work, and dessert plating.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for pastry presentation.
- Ability to work mornings/evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; flexibility and reliability.
