Description
Job Description As a SEE Trainer and Assessor, you will deliver high-quality language, literacy, numeracy and digital training programs to empower learners and support their vocational and personal goals. This hands‑on role involves designing and evaluating training, conducting assessments, and maintaining accurate reporting to meet government contract requirements and national standards. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, client‑focused language, literacy, and numeracy training using adult learning principles and a variety of methodologies.
- Conduct diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of client progress.
- Design, develop, and validate tools and resources that align with program and learner needs.
- Foster learner engagement through real‑world, project‑based learning and innovative use of technology.
- Maintain accurate records of training delivery and ensure compliance with privacy and reporting requirements.
- Continuously improve professional knowledge and skills through training, curriculum development, and the adoption of new technologies. Qualifications Our ideal candidate is a dedicated educator with a passion for delivering impactful training that enhances learners’ skills and opportunities. Essential Criteria
- A Bachelor of Education or equivalent and postgraduate qualifications in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Adult LLN (e.g., Grad Dip TESOL).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent qualifications required by ASQA.
- Demonstrated teaching capability and recent experience delivering client‑focused education.
- Proficiency in using classroom technology and an ability to integrate innovative tools into teaching.
- Skilled in conducting assessments using nationally accredited curricula (e.g., EAL/FSK) and frameworks (e.g., ACSF).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in multicultural learning environments. Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of AQTF principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Moodle) and student management systems (e.g., VETtrak).
- Minimum 60 hours English teaching to adults.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
