**Housing Fraud Unit (HFU) | Service Delivery and Assurance Hub**

- **Salary range, Clerk Grade 7/8, $113,574
- $125,720 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**

**Your role**
- The Housing Fraud Unit (HFU) is the central reporting point for all alleged cases of fraud and non-disclosure in relation to the provision of Housing assistance.
- The HFU coordinates with client service teams and DCJ legal for the appropriate investigation of those allegations.

**What you’ll do**
- The role of HFU is to identify and investigate fraud pursuant to the Housing Act 2001 (NSW) and the Crimes Act 1900. Some matters will require management through to an outcome such as prosecution.
- The HFU also provides expert advice and training to DCJ Housing client service teams for the prevention, identification, investigation and management of Housing assistance fraud.

**What we’re looking for**

- Ability to Maintain confidentiality, data accuracy and sensitivity to comply with external audit requirements.
- Show Ingenuity and persistence to obtain case information and evidence gathering that are not readily available with an eye for detail. Understanding the clear boundaries between tenancy management issues and fraud management issues.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines, stay organised, and adapt to change in a fast-paced, high volume, and high-pressure work environment.
- Collaborate with other government and non-government agencies for data collection under the provisions that include data storage, security and protections, and integrity of data.
- Ability Perform basic research and analysis to inform and support the achievement of project deliverables
- Understanding of, or the ability to quickly develop knowledge of, policies and rent subsidy programs relevant to Homes NSW.
- Experience using tenancy or client management systems and electronic record-keeping platforms, or the ability to learn systems used within the Homes NSW, such as TRIM.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in the relevant area.
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or completion within 6 months of commencement in role.
- Current, valid Driver’s licence and willingness to travel. Overnight stay may be required
