Café All Rounder/ Retail Service Assistant/barista Merrylands

Soul Origin Merrylands is looking for Cafe All-rounders to join our team. You must be quick on your feet, able to multitask, have great customer service and work well in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work a rotating roster that may include some weekends.

You’ll be responsible for:

Giving our Soul Origin customers an excellent customer service experience.

Assisting customers with any questions or queries.

General cleaning duties.

To be considered you’ll have:

Must be available Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday OR a combination of these days

Coffee making skills and experience will be HIGHLY regarded

An approachable demeanor and valuable communication skills

Be outgoing and have a friendly personality

You must have positive attitude, good work ethic, be a team player, have good communication skills and willing to assist in all necessary daily shop duties and be able to follow instructions when necessary

Have a passion for for hospitality, food, coffee and customer service

Experience working in a busy rapid paced environment & able to work well under pressure

Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required

Good attention to detail and cash handling skills

An understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

A flexible approach to work
- at Soul Origin, customer service goes beyond serving customers! You’ll also be able to help with stock take, opening / closing the store, cleaning and preparing basic food items

Preferred: A minimum of 6 months rapid food or restaurant experience; you will have a minimum 6 month experience serving coffee and working on the coffee machine

Have Australian work rights (valid for at least 12 months)

Pay range indicated is is a guide, we use the Fast Food Industry Award to determine appropriate pay rates.

Please note 'Expected Hours' indicated are just a guide. Hours will vary and change with appropriate experience.
