Financial Accountant 12 Month FTC (Parramatta)

- Supportive and tenured leadership and team About the Company and Role We are currently partnering a well-established consumer goods organisation to recruit a hands-on Financial Accountant on a 12-month maternity leave contract.

Reporting to supportive and tenured leadership, this role will see you take ownership of month-end close, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting, operating in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and strong systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Month-end close including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Intercompany accounting across multiple entities (accruals, eliminations, confirmations)
- Preparation of P&L; and Balance Sheet for group reporting (OneStream)
- Management of GR/IR clearing and related SAP processes
- Supporting budget and forecast cycles (data uploads and management)
- Delivering regular reporting and analysis (Excel-based)
- Driving process improvements and strengthening controls About You You will bring:
- 5–7 years’ experience in a financial accounting or reporting role
- Strong SAP experience (essential)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (data manipulation, reporting, formulas)
- Solid experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your area
- Strong communication skills – comfortable picking up the phone and engaging stakeholders Nice to have:
- A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and challenging processes
- CPA/CA qualification (or working towards, but not a non-negotiable)
- Exposure to consolidation tools (e.g. OneStream)
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or product-based environments Why Apply?
