Café Chef or Manager – Parramatta URGENT

Parramatta’s deli-style sandwich spot, Matty’s Sandwiches, is looking for a skilled, reliable, and efficient Cafe Manager or Chef. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who loves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in producing high-quality food.
- Full-time | Monday to Friday (7:30am–4:30pm) Parramatta Immediate start
- As Café Manager/Chef , you will be responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of the café, including staff rostering, inventory and stock control, menu execution, reporting, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will lead and support the café team to ensure smooth service each day, while also acting as the main point of contact for catering enquiries and bookings. Responsibilities:
- Managing weekly staff rosters and shift coordination
- Leading and motivating a high-performing café team
- Overseeing inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Supporting menu execution, quality control, and service consistency
- Handling customer service and ensuring an exceptional customer experience
- Acting as the main point of contact for catering enquiries and bookings
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace standards
- Preparing and portioning ingredients, including meats, salads, and sandwich fillings
- Knife-work: slicing, cutting, trimming, prepping meats and vegetables
- Assembling and building deli-style sandwiches
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment What we’re looking for:
