**About the Role**: As a Robotics Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in engaging young learners through exciting STEM activities that ignite their curiosity and creativity. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing, promoting, and delivering innovative workshops utilizing contemporary technologies, including robotics, coding, engineering and 3D printing to name a few.

Our workshops are scheduled during school hours, after school, on weekends, and during school holidays. Additionally, there may be opportunities to conduct online workshops from the comfort of your home via Zoom.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate engaging workshops with school-age children using LEGO® Educational resources and other robotics tools, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Lead students to their designated classrooms, supervise their activities, and administer first aid as necessary.
- Deliver workshops during school hours and provide training to teachers on integrating robotics into their classrooms.
- Safeguard and maintain workshop resources, including transportation, storage, charging, and cleanliness.
- Develop workshop programs tailored to the needs of students and gather feedback from participants and their parents.
- Promote workshops to existing and potential customers, highlighting the value of robotics education.
- Uphold a secure working environment by adhering to operational guidelines and reporting any risks or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff as required.
- Conduct formal assessments of students and prepare term reports.
- Provide written and verbal updates to parents regarding their child's progress in workshops.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Strong background or interest in teaching, engineering, science, robotics, coding, or related fields; previous experience with robotics mentoring, particularly in programs like FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, Subs in School, F1 in School, or RoboCup is high desirable.
- Experience working with Arduino, Raspberry PI, CAD, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or similar technologies is required.
- Comfortable and confident with technology, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new concepts.
- Reliable and professional, with access to your own transport preferred.
- Availability on some weekdays between 3 PM
- 5 PM and Saturday afternoon.
- Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid certification and a Working with Children Check.
