Library Assistant (Parramatta)

**About the role**: This position is responsible for providing positive customer experiences and supporting the Team Leader to ensure the smooth running of library services. Created to assist in the provision of high-quality customer experiences, this role is located at Parramatta Library at Phive.

On a daily basis you will:

- Provide exceptional customer service and build positive connections with the local community
- Assist in delivering high quality community-focussed programs
- Support team members in the use of library services
- Work closely with other teams and implement improvements to enhance enjoyment of the libraryEnsure that each customer receives a positive customer experience

**About You**: You will also bring:

- Working with Children Check.
- Criminal history check
- HSC certificate or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated verbal communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with exceptional ability to deliver memorable experiences
- Well-developed ability to communicate and, build relationships and influence others with an engaging approach and technique.
- Well-developed decision-making ability, including confidence in working with leaders to resolve high priority, and often sensitive and issues and conflict.
- Well-developed PC literacy, including skills with mobile technologies and basic technology trouble shooting skills

**What’s on offer**: This is a **permanent part time**opportunity working 20 hours a week.

Shifts will be Thursday to Sunday, with an **essential**requirement to work on **both weekends**.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $68,111 plus 12% superannuation.
