Job Description: Job Overview: A Logistics Specialist is responsible for assisting in receiving, organizing, storing, of products within the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Assist in storing and packing of goods and materials following appropriate procedures and regulations;
- Aid in the preparation and receipt of appropriate documentation, including liaison with suppliers;
- Allocate and retrieve goods from specific warehouse areas;
- Participate in periodic stock checks;
- Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
- Assist stock takes and other inventory initiatives
- Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or with appropriate equipment provided
- Maintain accurate inventory records of products received and dispatched
- Maintain cleanliness of the site and ensure that goods don’t get damaged Skills and Experience:
- Able to understand basic instructions and work from procedures.
- Able to work in a team setting under limited supervision.
- Responsible for quality of their own work.
- Possesses sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating various loading equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Intermediate level of word and excel
- Basic level of numeracy, verbal and literacy skills
