The NSW Workplace Protection Authority is looking for a Manager of Risk & Governance to lead and oversee the agency’s enterprise risk management and governance functions.

Opportunity

As the Manager Risk & Governance, you will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and Executive Leadership Team to:

Lead and coordinate enterprise risk management, advising senior executives and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Board and the Audit & Risk Committee.

Maintain up‑to‑date and effective governance policies, procedures and systems, including a Corporate Policies Library that supports a culture of integrity and valuable practice risk management consistent with statutory and policy obligations.

Manage reviews, assessments and provide advice on governance matters, external complaints, public interest disclosures, privacy and data breaches.

Lead and coordinate organisational information compliance, including GIPA, Standing Order 52s and responses to oversight and integrity agencies.

Operate the Secretariat of the agency’s Crisis Management Team and coordinate and lead the business continuity function.

About you

Experience and understanding of governance, risk and ethical behaviour principles and practices.

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and risk management strategies.

Leadership experience with the ability to foster a high‑performing team and deliver results in a challenging environment.
