Social Worker | Blue Care | Cairns Community Care
- Employment Term: Permanent Full-Time
- Location: Cairns and surrounding locations
- Remuneration: $42.15
- $59.04 p/hr (dependent on experience) + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
- 5 weeks annual leave
- Looking to relocate? We offer up to $5k relocation allowances Your part in our BlueCare team Social Work is part of BlueCare's centralised allied health services. Our dedicated teams are located across Queensland to provide the best inhome support to our clients. As a Social Worker, you will support our clients living independently in the community by providing psychosocial assessment, care coordination, advocacy, counselling, and support services that improves their quality of life and well-being. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and risk management for clients in the community
- Provide counselling, emotional support, crisis intervention, and advocacy
- Develop and review individualised care plan plans
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including personal care staff, nursing and allied health
- Facilitate referrals to community support, health services and government programs

You'll also have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work
- Registration with relevant professional body
- Australian Association of Social Workers
- Previous experience within an Aged Care or Acute setting (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
- Current Australian drivers licence and roadworthy registered vehicle Employee Benefits:
