Programs Officer Virtual and Face to Face Program Coordination Team Location: Parramatta Square, hybrid working conditions Period: August 2026 – January 2027 Employment Type: Full-time 6 months (with a possibility of extension) Salary: $99,938 – 110,271 plus superannuation and leave loading What You’ll Do
- Contribute to intake screening, induction, assessment, fundamental support, and case management processes and reporting.
- Maintain program‑related administrative duties, including program allocation, offender participation and attendance, and asset and device management usage and functions.
- Provide group‑based, accredited, or approved program content to individuals on supervision within virtual settings and community locations.
- Undertake individual engagement with people on supervision as required.
- Resolve critical or crisis situations by providing information, expertise, support and referrals, and consult with the Senior Project Officer in the VFPC team when required.
- Provide technical and coordination support and assistance to Community Corrections staff and program participants.
- Maintain succinct documentation as required on individuals receiving services and programs, in accordance with the laid down standards on Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS) and in case files. What We’re Looking For
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, mental‑health or other human service fields; and /or demonstrated relevant equivalent experience working with family, social and/or drug and alcohol related issues.
- Completed or in the process of completing the Core Training Pathway for Group Work Facilitators.
- Current NSW drivers’ licence with ability and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
- Ability and willingness to work within a versatile bandwidth as required to support the delivery of programs.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the transitional factors affecting individuals and their families.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in assessment, case management and intervention with individuals with complex welfare and alcohol and drug related needs.
- Demonstrated ability and/or experience in delivering group‑based interventions.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of alcohol and other drug dependence and evidence based interventions.
