Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items in line with established recipes and presentation standards Assist with daily food preparation activities including cutting, marinating, portioning, and ingredient preparation Monitor cooking processes to maintain food quality, consistency, and timely service Operate across different kitchen sections during busy service periods as required Ensure dishes are plated and presented according to business standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas Monitor stock rotation and assist with food storage procedures in line with food safety requirements Assist with receiving and storing kitchen deliveries and supplies Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to support smooth day-to-day service operations Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience Relevant qualification such as Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Minimum 1–2 years of full time relevant work experience in a similar role Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment Understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to manage kitchen tasks efficiently during service periods
