- Cook As a Cook, you will play an important role in ensuring food services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. From meal preparation and plating to menu coordination and stock ordering, you'll help create a positive dining experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen. Working closely with the Client Services Supervisor and broader care team, you will contribute to quality food production, dietary compliance, and excellent service delivery across the health unit. In this role, you will:
- Prepare, cook, plate and distribute meals to required standards
- Support special dietary and nutritional requirements
- Order and manage non-impress food supplies and bulk orders
- Liaise with nursing staff and dietitians regarding client needs
- Assist with rostering, kitchen coordination and function support
- Operate kitchen equipment and computerised systems as required
- Maintain quality control, food safety and efficient service delivery
- Support and guide team members within your level of expertise Who would be suited to this role? This role would suit a reliable and adaptable hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering quality food services within a healthcare environment. With a strong focus on teamwork, client care and professionalism, you can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of communication, confidentiality and service delivery. You will bring:
- Experience preparing bulk meals and catering for dietary needs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within diverse teams
- Confidence using computer systems including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexibly, use initiative and meet deadlines
