Your Role As a Locum Radiographer you will report to the Site Operations Manager and work hands‑on in diagnostic imaging. You will provide high‑quality x‑ray and computed tomography services with up‑to‑date equipment in high‑tech Medical Imaging Departments. You will independently perform advanced and professional diagnostic procedures requiring specialised x‑ray and scanning techniques and a high degree of judgment, impacting patient care. Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality x‑ray and CT imaging services across a wide range of procedures in the Medical Imaging Department.
- Operate specialised equipment with a high level of independence.
- Perform complex diagnostic examinations, applying professional knowledge and creative x‑ray and scanning techniques.
- Contribute to clinical outcomes by delivering accurate imaging services that inform patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with referring clinicians and surgeons to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in x‑ray and CT technology and techniques to enhance service delivery. Qualifications Required:
- Radiation Licence
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DCSI)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine‑preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace. Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
- Holds an accredited undergraduate qualification in radiography, medical imaging, or medical radiation science
- Registered as an Accredited Radiographer as administered by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) Other Details The position is a Contract role, Monday to Friday, with some on‑call after hours and on weekends. You will have access to a dynamic and supportive work environment and the possibility of career growth, as the business continues to progress.
