Mechanic (Westleigh)

**About the role**

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Mechanic/Manager to join our team at an Established Service Centre in Westleigh, NSW that's been operating for over 30 years. As the Lead Mechanic/Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our automotive workshop, ensuring the efficient and high-quality servicing and repair of our clients' vehicles.

**What you'll be doing**
- Manage daily operations and oversee the workshop's day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth workflow and job scheduling.
- Manage and oversee the work of a team of mechanics, ensuring all vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, utilising your extensive technical expertise
- Coordinate the workflow and scheduling of the workshop to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
- Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics to develop their skills and knowledge
- Engage with customers, providing accurate quotes and maintaining excellent service levels, discuss vehicle issues, and provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs
- Ensure the workshop operates in compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations and highest quality.
- Manage inventory, order parts, and maintain the workshop's equipment and tools

**What we're looking for**
- You have a Cert III in Light Vehicle Automotive Mechanical Technology and AIS Examiner License (Pink slip), with 5+ years of hands-on experience in diagnostics and repairs and a proven track record of managing a team in an automotive workshop environment
- Strong technical skills and expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills, essential for liaising with customers and team members.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work independently and lead a team
- Attention to detail with a meticulous approach to work, ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard.

Pay: $100,000.00
- $130,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Mechanic: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CERT III Light Vehicle Automotive (preferred)
