Casual Childcare Cooks Rouse Hill The Hills Shire

We are seeking experienced casual cooks to support our Centre in Rouse Hill and surrounding suburbs.

As a Casual Cook at Young Academics, you will support Centre staff to provide high-quality, inclusive education and care. You will assist educators and ensure every child in your care feels protected, supported, and inspired to learn.

Responsibilities

Support the Centre Staff providing high quality education and care

Maintain a safe environment, proactively managing risks and adhering to health and hygiene protocols

Prepare morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for children in line with dietitian’s menu

Conduct appropriate food checks

Effectively adapt meals to cater for diverse dietary requirements

Demonstrate a solid understanding of NSW Food Authority guidelines

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Maintain mandatory reporting responsibilities and requirements

About You

Minimum of 6 months' work experience as a Childcare Cook

Hold a completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation or an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care

Robust knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and sector regulations

Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate

Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check

Commitment to upholding a child-safe organisation and inclusive practices

Maintain mandatory national child safety training
