Gardener (Springwood)

Buckland is the provider of choice for Aged Care services in the Lower Blue Mountains NSW. It is our mission to provide high quality care and service to our residents and community clients.

As a Gardenerwith us, you will work as part of the general Maintenance team and provide garden and lawn maintenance to grounds of the retirement village and nursing home. This is a full-time Monday
- Friday position (7:30am
- 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays).
- Have a keen interest in gardens and working outdoors
- Experience using gardening tools and equipment
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Be willing to assist the Maintenance team when required
- Deliver quality service to a high standard within the timeframes set
- Have a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks to the highest standards
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Work, Health and Safety principles
- Have a driver’s license
- Have a positive “can do” attitude and be able to work effectively as part of a team

**Duties of the position**:

- Undertake general ground and garden duties including lawn maintenance, mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weeding etc
- Ensure all duties are completed in a safe manner by following the appropriate policies and procedures
- Work co-operatively with other members of garden and maintenance team
- Report to the Maintenance Manager and take direction as required
