About The NDIS Quality And Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission)
The NDIS Commission is an independent agency established on 1 July 2018 to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The NDIS Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia.
We work with NDIS participants, service providers, workers and the community to make sure participants have choice, control and dignity when they access high-quality supports and services in secure environments.
More information on who we are and what we do is available on our website.
About The Data And Regulatory Transformation (DART) Program
The Data and Regulatory Transformation (DART) Program sits within the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and is delivering a major uplift to the Commission’s digital and data systems and tools.
DART is creating a modern, connected suite of systems that will transform how the Commission operates as a regulator. By leveraging contemporary technology, these systems will enable better identification of participant and provider interactions, earlier detection of risk, and faster, more effective regulatory action. This will support the Commission to be a more proactive, engaged and efficient regulator.
People with disability are at the core of DART. The program’s system improvements will strengthen safeguarding for NDIS participants, enhance regulation of providers and workers, and reduce unnecessary regulatory burden for providers. DART also places a strong focus on cyber security, ensuring personal and sensitive information is protected.
Through DART, the Commission is building digital foundations that support safer outcomes for participants, stronger regulatory oversight, and improved experiences for all stakeholders.
About The Role
The Business Architect supports the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s transformation and regulatory reform agenda by providing hands on business architecture expertise within service design sprints. Working under the direction of the Service Design Sprint Lead, the role connects regulatory intent, business strategy and operational delivery by shaping current and future state capabilities, value streams and operating models.
Operating in complex and evolving regulatory environments, the role applies pragmatic architectural thinking to ensure sprint outcomes are coherent, implementable and aligned to Commission reforms, digital and data enablement initiatives.
