- Community minded organisation with Grants through the CoscaOne Foundation The Role This is a pivotal role in the business, working with a professional team, providing a service that is more than just numbers focused and encompassing a well-established client base comprising a broad range of industry and business sectors to turn their vision into value. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing support to Junior and intermediate team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Work alongside the existing Director to manage team and influence outcomes.
- Research of complex technical matters and be solution focused
- Progress to take responsibility and manage a portfolio of clients with direct client contact and maintain strong client relationships over time.
- Communicate with clients and support them with advice.
- Tax return and financial statement preparation for all entity types and larger consolidated groups.
- Tax Advice and structuring recommendations to provide clients with financial strategies to achieve their vision.
- Preparation of general and special purpose statements.
- Preparation of business activity statements for various business structures.
- Liaise with the ATO.
- Ensure jobs are completed satisfying budget and effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines.
- Work on complex entities engaging a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to achieve the desired objectives.
- Take responsibility and be proactive with professional development.
- Able to communicate in a straightforward, open non-judgemental and respectful manner.
- Share the load, understand the culture and goals of the organisation and the team. Qualifications and Skills (Selection Criteria) Mandatory:
- CA / CPA Qualified
- 5 years + in an Australian public practice environment
- Excellent technical tax knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong Communication, organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Able work independently, be flexible and willing to take on the responsibilities
- Ability to work to deadlines, continually improve and embrace change, staying connected with evolving world of technology Desirable:
- Xero Software Experience
- Previous management of staff and evidence to support will be highly regarded.
