- Salary: Commencing at $827.40 per week + 12% Superannuation + Worker Retention %
- Full-time 18-month traineeship with paid study support
- Rostered shifts Monday to Friday between 6:30am–6:30pm

Here’s What You’ll Be Up To… As a Childcare Trainee, you’ll work alongside experienced educators supporting children aged 0–12 years across our Long Day Care, Preschool and Out of School Hours Care services. You’ll combine practical, hands-on experience with formal study through TAFE to build valuable skills and knowledge in early childhood education and care. Some of the ways you’ll make an impact include:
- Supporting engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences for children
- Assisting educators with daily routines, activities and programs
- Building positive relationships with children, families and team members
- Learning how to create safe, inclusive and welcoming environments
- Developing practical skills through mentoring, training and real-world experience
- Contributing to meaningful experiences that help children learn, grow and thrive

To Be Eligible, You Must
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Working With Children Check
- Be 16 years of age or older (or turning 16 at commencement)
- Not hold a Certificate III or IV qualification completed within the last 7 years and/or a Diploma qualification or higher
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
The must-know bits As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a Group Assessment Centre on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. Successful applicants will attend either a morning session commencing at 9am or an afternoon session commencing at 2.30pm. This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working With Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or Functional Assessment, as relevant to the position. Where a Criminal History Check returns disclosable outcomes, applicants may be required to provide additional information for assessment as part of the recruitment process. As part of the recruitment process, we will be holding a Group Assessment centre on Wednesday, 1 July 2026.
