HR Advisor (City of Penrith)

Are you a process-driven HR professional with a passion for Employee Relations? We are looking for an agile and detail-oriented HR Advisor to join our client's HR team. The Role As the first point of contact for leaders and employees, you will provide fit-for-purpose advice on a range of employment-related matters. You won’t just be answering questions; you’ll be deep-diving into policies, awards, and legislation to provide sound solutions for a complex operational environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end investigations into grievances and workplace concerns, including interviewing employees, analysing evidence, and recommending outcomes.
- Support leaders through Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and medical assessments.
- Provide expert guidance on change management initiatives and the interpretation of industrial instruments.
- Apply rigorous risk management principles to all ER activities, ensuring every step is documented and legally sound.
- Draft high-quality, sensitive correspondence (memos, formal letters, and reports) and translate complex legislative concepts into clear, actionable advice. About You You thrive in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoy the "detective work" involved in workplace investigations. You are empathetic yet firm, capable of building credibility across a wide cross-section of a large workforce. Selection Criteria
- Qualifications: A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, IR, or a related field.
- Experience: Approximately 2+ years of experience in an operational HR or Advisory role, with a demonstrable passion for ER cases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS and electronic records management systems.
- Legislative Knowledge: A strong ability to interpret and apply complex employment legislation and Awards to real-world workplace situations.
