Our interstate trucking services cover the domestic legs of international airfreight operations, driving between all the major cities from our hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Perth and Adelaide. As a Long Distance Driver based at the Qantas Freight Terminal Perth, you will be responsible for operating heavy and multi-combination vehicles. Primarily you will be completing changeover work, coordinating with our Melbourne based driver at Ceduna before returning to Perth. However, there may be a requirement to drive straight through to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. This position operates on a rotating 7-day roster, with departures typically scheduled for the early afternoon. In addition to long-distance linehaul duties, you will also be required to support local operations as needed, including the loading and delivery of cargo. To be successful in this position you’ll have:
- A MC drivers licence
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster and the ability to work night shifts
- A clean driving record
- High attention to detail and focus on safety.
