About the role As a Geotechnical Engineer at Mining One, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s mining exploration and geoscience operations. This full time position is based in our Melbourne or Perth office and will see you providing technical expertise and solutions to ensure the safety and stability of mining projects. What you’ll be doing Conducting geological and geotechnical assessments Ground support analysis and design, including slopes, foundations, underground (tunnels and mines) Review of ground support Design parameter recommendations Foundation analysis Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mining plans Preparing technical reports and presentations Ensuring all work is conducted in compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations What we’re looking for Degree in Civil, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, preferably within the mining industry Strong technical expertise in soil and rock mechanics, slope stability analysis, and ground support design Proficiency in using geotechnical software and modelling tools Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental sustainability What we offer At Mining One, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work setting for our employees.
