This hardworking, family‑oriented household is built around a small family business. Both parents are highly involved in the business, with one working long hours while the other manages administration from home alongside caring for their young family. They have a newborn baby (approx. 8 weeks old) and a home workplace grounded in love, trust, and teamwork. The family also has pets, including two cats and a friendly Golden Retriever.

Days, Hours, Start Date & Remuneration

Wednesday & Friday

Approx. 6‑hour shifts

Start date: April 2026

Hourly rate: Negotiable depending on experience

6‑month contract

The Role

Primary care of a newborn baby

Supporting feeding, settling, and daily routines

Engaging in age‑appropriate interaction to support development

Light household tasks including laundry and meal preparation

Creating a calm, safe, and nurturing workplace while a parent works from home

The Ideal Nanny

The family is seeking a truly special nanny who is gentle, attentive, and passionate about early childhood development. The ideal candidate will be calm, nurturing, and highly in tune with newborn cues—able to recognize when the baby is tired, overstimulated, hungry, or needing comfort. They are looking for someone who will spend intentional, quality time engaging with their baby, supporting early milestones, and fostering a warm, secure environment. Reliability, warmth, and a gentle, reassuring presence are essential.

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience caring for newborns/young infants

Strong understanding of infant cues and development

Reliable, trustworthy, and nurturing

Comfortable working in a home where a parent is present

Comfortable around pets (cats and a dog)

Ability to commit to a 6‑month position

Checks Required

Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certification

Hold a valid Working with Children Check

Hold a valid National Police Check

A minimum of 3 years experience working with children
