Video Editor, Photographer and Videographer (Perth)

**Do you love editing videos that actually get watched?**

We’re on the hunt for a **Video Editor** (primary role) who knows how to turn raw content into short-form videos that _actually hit_ on Instagram and TikTok, especially talking-head and face-to-camera clips.

At **New Gen Social**, we help businesses show up online in a way that’s creative, strategic and human. We need someone who gets the fast pace of social media, knows how to make content feel engaging from the first 3 seconds, and can add hooks, text and visuals that feel fresh and relevant.

This role starts with **video editing** as your main focus, but we’re also looking for someone who’s keen to grow into **on-site content creation**filming and photographing alongside me for shoots in Perth. That might look like capturing BTS shots at a clinic, doing talking head videos that are engaging and fun scroll-stopping shots for funny Reels.

Responsibilities and qualification:

- **Video Editing**: Knows how to extract out, short-form videos from a long form piece of content, ensuring each piece is engaging, and perfectly timed for maximum impact on social media.
- **Expert in a range of video editing and filming: (listed below)**:

- **Proficient in editing software**such as Adobe Premiere Pro orDa Vinci, and CapCut.
- **Social Media Relevance**:Social Media Relevance**: You’re up-to-date with the kinds of videos that are working on Instagram and TikTok right now and **you know how to spot a strong hook to add to your editing.** You can pull out the line or moment that will stop the scroll and make someone watch. You get what resonates and how to edit in a way that feels relevant, not just trendy.
- **Strong Design Skills**: Solid understanding of design principles necessary for creating visually appealing video content, including effective use of text, colour and audio.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to work with different content styles and requirements, catering to various industries while maintaining brand consistency.
- **Efficient Project Management**: Handle your projects with a cool head and a steady hand, meeting deadlines with room to spare.
- **Good English**: Ensure all text used in videos is grammatically correct and well-composed to maintain professionalism and brand consistency.
- **Organised and reliable**: You’re not just creative, you’re on top of your sh*t. You manage files neatly, label things properly (bless you), hit deadlines without being chased, and can keep projects moving even when there’s a few on the go.
- Bonus: You're also able to be versatile and work with a range of industries from window companies to beauty.

**P.S. Filming locations will vary and take place at our clients' sites across Perth.**
