Portrait Photographer (Experienced) (Perth)

We’re looking for a portrait photographer to join our team on a casual, ad hoc basis. This role is focused on producing high quality portrait imagery with a strong emphasis on consistency and attention to detail. You’ll be working with models of varying experience levels, so the ability to direct, guide, and create a comfortable workplace on set is essential. To be successful, you’ll need to show a portfolio that demonstrates creative intent and high production value. Retouching is not required for this role. However, a working understanding of retouching workflows is desirable so you can capture images with post-production in mind. Gear is not required for this position. This is a flexible, non-exclusive role. You’re welcome to continue your own freelance work alongside it, and we’re happy to schedule around existing commitments where possible. Please note this is a non-sponsored visa position, and applications from outside of Perth will not be considered. Requirements:
- Availability during standard business hours
- Ability to produce consistent results across shoots
- Demonstrable experience directing models of varying experience levels
- Strong attention to detail and a critical eye for image quality
- Ability to plan and schedule availability at least three weeks in advance

- Experience and intermediate to advanced knowledge of off camera flash
- Ability to modify and work with natural light
- Experience shooting tethered using Capture One or Lightroom
- Familiarity with mood boards and visual planning processes
