About the Role As Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the digital marketing direction across a portfolio of key clients, helping them connect performance marketing, data, content and digital experience to drive measurable growth. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can move confidently between strategy and delivery. You’ll interrogate data, uncover the story behind performance, shape digital marketing roadmaps, lead client conversations, mentor team members and identify opportunities to improve the full customer journey. Working closely with Account Managers, Strategy and Development teams, you’ll help turn complex digital challenges into clear direction, practical action and tangible commercial outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in shaping how equ continues to evolve its digital marketing and customer journey offering with equNorth
- helping us improve how we plan, measure, report and deliver growth for our clients. What You'll Bring You’re a strategic digital marketer who understands that performance is not just about channels
- it’s about people, behaviour, journeys and outcomes. You know how to dig into data, find the insight that matters, and turn it into recommendations clients can understand and act on. You’re confident leading conversations, challenging assumptions and guiding clients toward better decisions. You’re equally comfortable shaping a roadmap, reviewing campaign performance, identifying website friction, improving measurement, or mentoring a team member through a complex problem. Most importantly, you care about quality. You want to do smart, commercially meaningful work that helps clients improve the way their customers discover, engage, convert and come back. Skills you'll possess Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing, performance marketing or growth roles, ideally within an agency, consultancy or complex multi-channel environment.
- Strong strategic and hands-on capability across paid search, paid social, SEO and performance reporting
- Strong working knowledge of GA4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and digital reporting tools, with relevant certifications.
- Experience using a range of digital marketing, reporting and optimisation tools to uncover insights, measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to translate data into insight, recommendations and commercially focused action.
- Confident client leadership skills, including presenting, challenging thinking and guiding decision-making.
- Experience building digital marketing roadmaps aligned to business and customer journey objectives.
- A genuine interest in how search, AI, content, websites, data and media are changing customer behaviour. Nice to have:
- Experience with CMS, DXP or enterprise website platforms such as Sitefinity, Umbraco or similar.
- Exposure to CRM, lifecycle marketing, personalisation, attribution or marketing automation.
