Cafe Host (Perth)

Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital SJG Subiaco Hospital is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Café Host to join our team. In this role, you will act as an experienced café all‑rounder, engaging with customers and delivering a warm, welcoming experience while working in a fast‑paced setting, operating efficiently and in a timely manner. The role is offered on a permanent part‑time basis, working 30 hours per week. The Position
- Deliver outstanding customer service by warmly engaging with customers and maintaining friendly, efficient service at all times.
- Prepare and serve high‑quality coffees, beverages, and food to menu standards, working closely with kitchen staff as required.
- Operate the till accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct payment handling and maintaining the security of cash, stock, and equipment.
- Support smooth café operations by maintaining presentation standards, restocking displays, multitasking effectively, and assisting with general duties including clearing tables and physical tasks. To be successful you will be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work both independently and within a team. You will demonstrate sound organisational skills, have cash handling experience, and be able to prioritise and adapt to changing demands. A high standard of presentation and punctuality, along with basic food handling knowledge, safety awareness, and willingness to learn, is essential. - Salary: $62,257 to $65,206 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation
- A permanent part time position
