Event Manager (Perth)

Lamonts Bishops House is located in Perth, Western Australia. We are a fine dining establishment and host high end corporate functions and weddings. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive Event Manager to join our team in a Full-time, permanent role for our upcoming Spring event season. Salary: range from $90,000 to $95,000pa plus superannuation (subject to suitable qualifications) The right individual for this position would:
· Have experience as an Event Manger, ideally having interacted with both corporate and wedding customers
· Previous work experience in a fine dining establishment
· Have excellent food and wine knowledge
· Demonstrate a professional, upbeat and friendly personality
· Be an excellent communicator
· Have a solid understanding of the hospitality business.
· Ensure that all health, safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
· Have basic Word, Excel and AI skills
· Have their RSA and Approved Manager qualifications The main duties for this role are:
- Gather information from the customer about their event requirements, budget and preferences
- Provide advice about various menus available, rooms, decor and entertainment options
- Create a run sheet for staff to follow during the event
- Communicate and co-ordinate with vendors and suppliers
- Manage the event budget, upselling where possible
- Handle problems that arise during the event
- Supervise waitstaff
· Be able to use the Point of Sale system, and ensure it is kept current with any menu changes
· Manage any complaints
· Interaction with customers to assess their satisfaction. This task will extend to monitoring comments on social media, trip advisor, urban spoon and the like
· Practicing the correct workplace health and safety procedures Requirements:
· 38 hour work week
· 4 weeks annual leave per year
· Must be available and willing to work evenings, weekends and public holiday shifts
· AT least 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role
