Marketing Assistant (West Perth)

About the role We are currently seeking a highly creative and collaborative Marketing Assistant who will join our Marketing team on a permanent part time basis (0.6 FTE). Reporting to the Marketing Specialist, the primary focus of the role is to provide operational, administrative and marketing support to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Marketing and Audience Research teams In this role you will:
- Assist with the delivery of marketing campaigns and promotional activities across Scitech programs and events.
- Support campaign implementation including electronic direct mail, event listings, website content updates and customer communications.
- Manage and update Scitech’s online presence including Google Business profiles and tourism/event listing websites.
- Schedule and publish social media content across relevant platforms, monitor engagement and respond to customer comments and queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with photography, videography and content creation for social media and marketing campaigns. Who are we looking for? We are seeking an individual who can manage competing priorities and a wide range of operational and administrative tasked within required timeframes. Other skills and experience required include:
- A strong understanding of marketing laws and principles and ability to apply theory into practice.
- Knowledge of social media, channels, and emerging trends.
- An understanding of the digital media landscape.
- Ability to create compelling copy and tailor it for different mediums and audiences
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar.
