**About the Role** Curtin University's School of Population Health is offering two continuing Lecturer positions. These roles offer an exciting opportunity for teaching academic staff join our dynamic undergraduate psychology team and to teach into our Undergraduate Certificate program, contributing to the Undergraduate Psychology program and the Discipline of Psychology. The role will include supervision of 4th year student research (e.g., Honours) and participation in course wide developments and decision-making. The roles also include engagement in innovative scholarship of teaching and learning.
**Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**: **Teaching and Learning**
- Coordinate large academic units in our online Open Universities Undergraduate Certificate program.
- Develop and deliver engaging learning activities across various formats, particularly online delivery, ensuring they meet student needs and learning outcomes in undergraduate psychology topics.
- Collaborate on innovative curriculum design and material development, continually adapting to current and contemporary practice.
- Undertake administrative functions related to teaching, including unit coordination.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback for undergraduate certificate, undergraduate, and 4th year psychology students.
**Service and Leadership**
- Engage in academic service and uphold collegiality while managing internal roles efficiently.
- Actively participate in activities related to the Discipline of Psychology and undergraduate psychology team, modelling professional behaviour consistent with university standards.
- Actively participate in community and external activities related to the Discipline of Psychology.
**Scholarship of Teaching and Learning**
- Engage in Innovative Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (iSoLT).
**Selection Criteria**:
- An individual with a doctoral qualification in psychology.
- Demonstrated high level teaching skills, with experience in engaging online and large student cohorts.
- A robust understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline and to online learning.
- Knowledge of foundational psychology topics, including developmental psychology, learning, memory, personality, motivation, ethical practice in psychology, psychological disorders and treatments, and health.
- An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated experience with unit coordination.
- Emerging capacity for supervision of 4th year / Honours research projects.
- Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working workplace and the ability to interact with students and staff in a culturally sensitive manner.
**Role Requirements**:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
