Overview Randstad is proud to partner with a leading Western Australian Government Body to recruit a dedicated Senior Science Communications Advisor. This pivotal role within the Strategy and Guidance branch focuses on high-level strategy and stakeholder engagement to support the organization’s strategic plan. The Opportunity
- Location: Perth (Joondalup/CBD)
- Contract Length: Immediate start until June 30, 2026
- Pay Rate:
- Level 7: $89.65 – $95.81 per hour + Super
- Level 6: $77.21 – $85.08 per hour + Super
- (Level offered will be commensurate with experience) Key Responsibilities In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for the management, scheduling, and editing of strategic documents and coordinating high-profile events. Your duties include:
- Document Management: High-level scheduling, editing, and management of assessment reports, strategic advice, and policy guidance.
- Project Management: End-to-end delivery of the Annual Report and coordination of related content for the department.
- Executive Support: Producing high-impact PowerPoint presentations for the Executive Director and assisting the office to deliver agendas for Stakeholder Reference Group quarterly meetings.
- Event Coordination: Management of internal and external forums, briefings, and training sessions.
- Strategic Communications: Working closely with the Media & Communications Advisor to ensure consistent messaging and promoting creative visual/publishing solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Clearly communicating business processes, procedures, and policies to internal and external stakeholders. Key Selection Criteria To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: 1. Qualifications: Tertiary qualification and/or substantial experience in science communication, communication, or a related discipline. 2. Communication Excellence: Highly developed written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical scientific information for a general audience. 3. Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects, prioritizing deadlines, and meeting operational requirements. 4. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to produce and edit accurate, engaging correspondence for specific audiences.
