Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of commercial and retail facilities. This is a hands‐on position ideal for someone who enjoys problem‐solving, working independently, and maintaining high standards of building care. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely and professional manner. Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, replacing fixtures, and adjusting doors or locks. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety of mechanical rooms, storage areas, and common spaces. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or inspections when needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, materials used, and time spent on tasks. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Assist with emergency response procedures, including after‐hours support if required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in general building maintenance or a related field. Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and standing for extended periods. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel between sites is required).
