Communications Coordinator (Perth)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our **LGIS**team at Marsh. This role will be based in **West Leederville.**

An exciting opportunity is available for a **Communications Coordinator** to join the team at LGIS
- the WA local government sector’s dedicated mutual scheme for risk financing and risk management. This position is responsible for supporting implementation of the LGIS marketing communications strategy.

**We will count on you to**:

- Coordinate and write articles for the Quarterly Risk Matters magazine, Monthly Healthy Intel newsletter, Monthly local government e-newsletter, and Monthly internal staff e-newsletter ‘The Wire’.
- Review, edit, and update website and blog content to ensure accuracy and engagement.
- Proof, edit, and write promotional flyers and resources for local government and other publications.
- Liaise with designers and photographers for the production of promotional material.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**What you need to have**:

- 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in Corporate Communications, and web content writing and management
- Strong copywriting and editorial skills.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated and ability to develop stakeholder relationships across the organisation to aid in the ability to identify and find stories
- Naturally curious and inquisitive person seeking to learn new things. A desire to research, understand and take on complex learnings.
