Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Perth)

About Our Client Our client is a renowned civil and structural consultancy with a global footprint across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the UK. They are expanding their established internal geotechnical team in Western Australia and are seeking a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a strong technical focus to join their multidisciplinary team. The Role This is a technical leadership position working closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to develop cutting-edge geotechnical design solutions. You will have the opportunity to influence project outcomes without the need for external business development, as this role focuses on building internal networks. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop geotechnical solutions across various sectors and project types
- Prepare detailed design memos and reports, translating advice into specifications and drawings
- Scope, cost, and oversee geotechnical site investigations supporting larger design packages
- Supervise and mentor junior team members in site investigation works in accordance with AS1726
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and external partners
- Support the Geotechnical Lead in client relationship management, team development, and fostering interdepartmental collaboration Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong technical expertise in foundation solutions (deep foundations, rafts, piled rafts)
- Experience in retaining wall and slope design (embedded, gravity, anchored, stabilised, hybrid)
- Proficiency in soil-structure interaction and geotechnical structural design
- Skilled in interpreting geotechnical parameters and producing comprehensive reports
- Hands-on experience in construction phases, site investigations, temporary works, or construction support, with familiarity in managing investigations to AS1726 standards What's on Offer
