The Opportunity We're looking for a talented and motivated Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our Wildflower Kitchen. Reporting to the Head Pastry Chef, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and craft alongside a passionate team in a world-class environment. What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing, producing and presenting high-quality pastry dishes with consistency in taste and appearance
- Supporting stock control, food ordering and maintaining market lists
- Assisting in the upkeep of kitchen standard operating procedures
- Controlling costs through minimising spoilage, managing inventory and practising portion control
- Maintaining HACCP standards and all food safety and hygiene requirements
- Keeping all equipment, machinery and utensils clean and in good working order
- Contributing to a positive, skilled kitchen environment and supporting senior team members
- Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses in line with WHS obligations What We're Looking For
- Completion of a commercial cookery apprenticeship or equivalent trade qualification (required for this classification)
- Proven experience in a pastry kitchen, ideally in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment
- A passion for high-quality pastry and an eye for detail
- Strong communication, teamwork and time management skills
- Sound knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP principles
- Willingness to learn, grow and take direction from senior personnel Why Join Us?
