Junior / Intermediate Accountant
- Business Advisory & Tax About the role A boutique accounting practice is seeking a Junior / Intermediate Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. The role covers a mix of compliance and advisory work, with direct exposure to managers and directors. Key responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, SMEs, trusts, companies, partnerships, and SMSFs
- Preparation of BAS
- Supporting tax advisory work including CGT, Division 7A, tax planning and structuring
- Liaising with the ATO and external parties
- Preparing client workpapers
- Assisting with client relationship management About you
- 1.5-3 years' experience in business services and tax within public practice
- Working towards or planning to commence CA or CPA
- Strong communication skills
- Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Exposure to accounting software such as MYOB AE or similar
- Familiarity with areas such as FBT, Division 7A, UPEs, and general tax compliance Perks
