Mechanical Engineer Technician (Perth)

Job description: Mammoth Contracting Pty Ltd, is seeking to employ a Mechanical Engineering Technician to work 38 hours per week to diagnose, perform and advise on repairs for the efficient running of our civil construction equipment with the following criteria: Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Position Description – Mechanical Engineering Technician Prepares drawings, designs and plans for the assembly and set-up of plants required (ie: crushing, screening and batching). Independently performs complex diagnostics on all company fixed crushing and screening plants and batching plant. Independently performs all diagnostics on all company machinery (ie: earthmoving and road transport equipment. Services, repairs and maintains all company machinery including heavy earthmoving equipment and road transport equipment. Designs and assemble all hydraulic systems in fixed and mobile plants to accommodate the specific outcome needed for the accurate product outcome required for the company. Performs field and laboratory tests as required. Collects and analyses data with the result of improving the efficiency, production and maintenance of the fixed and mobile plants. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with the work at hand Accounts for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties Estimates the costs involved in the maintenance or new assembly of mobile and fixed plants. Assembly and installation of new and modified machinery/components. Organising and supporting inspection and maintenance of machines. Testing and fault finding mechanical elements of machinery. On site problem solving, trouble shooting, servicing and repairs. Undertaking training on new equipment as required Reporting and documenting visits. Skills and experience Must hold a valid Drivers Licence. Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner Technical writing skills Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, to at least Diploma level or international equivalent.
