**Job purpose**: A unique opportunity awaits an outstanding and experienced Events professional to join the dynamic team at VenuesLive WA who operate the Stadium and surrounding Stadium Park. Reporting to the Head of Events, the Events Manager will form an integral part of the Events & Venue Management team and will play an important role in leading the planning and delivery of major events staged at Optus Stadium.
**Your focus will be**:
- Lead and manage the planning process and delivery of all Stadium events and non-event day activities. These events may include AFL games, International Cricket, BBL, NRL, Rugby Australia, Football and other international sporting fixtures, and concerts.
- Prepare and track event costs and ensure that budgets are managed within budgetary parameters.
- Manage and develop your direct employees.
- Foster a client first approach to the management of the operational relationship between the Stadium and its Hirers.
- Participate in risk assessments for the Company’s events and the development of appropriate contingency plans and emergency management procedures.
- Contribute to the ongoing management of the Integrated Management System.
**To be successful, you will have**:
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competency in Ungerboeck / UBS (preferred).
- Diploma or degree qualifications in Event Management (preferred).
- A minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar management role.
- Results driven with the ability to calmly work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible as unexpected changes occur.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
- Professional and ethical conduct, with a high regard for respecting confidentiality.
- Fans First approach with a passion for creating excellent customer experience.
- Strong written and oral communication, literacy and numeracy skills as wells as accuracy in reporting.
