Are you a passionate and dedicated **Qualified Dental Assistant** looking to join a professional and supportive team? Our well-established paediatric specialist dental practice is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join us full-time and help us deliver exceptional patient care.

**About Us**: As industry leading paediatric dentists, we are experts in the oral and dental development of children, including teeth, gums, soft tissues, facial growth and face and jaw misalignment. We treat healthy children, medically-compromised children and also children with special needs. Early dental experiences are the building blocks for a lifetime of good oral health and at PDS we believe this should be implemented as a fun, educational and easy experience! Our focus is to make long-lasting changes in the oral and dental care of our special young patients, whilst also helping your child feel confident in the dental workplace.

**Responsibilities**:

- Chairside assisting with a range of dental procedures
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Providing excellent patient care and support
- Accurate record keeping and assisting with administration tasks as needed
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
- Occasional chairside/scrub assistance during GA treatments

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (essential)
- Previous experience in a dental assisting role (minimum 1 year)
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Valid Working With Children Check and current immunisations (including Hep B)
- Knowledge of dental software
- Exact (desirable)
- Past experience in chairside assistance for GA treatments (desirable)

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
