Caterpillar of Australia is looking for a Surface Mining Sales Representative to join the team in Perth.

At Caterpillar, the Surface Mining Sales Representative role is critical to executing our go-to-market strategy. This is an exciting role that is highly visible with touchpoints throughout the Caterpillar and dealer organisations, and provides an excellent stepping stone to other career opportunities.

**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Provide commercial, marketing & sales support for the assigned territory.
- Understand and sell the value of Caterpillar product
- machines, technology, services.
- Meet annual business plan targets.
- Support dealers in developing comprehensive deal strategies.
- Develop strategies for growth for each assigned dealer.
- Measure & improve dealer value selling capabilities.

**Required Skills Include**:

- Engineering Degree, Business Degree, equivalent Diploma or related work experience.
- You will be a self-starter capable of working across many levels of the dealer and Caterpillar.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and a focus on safety and quality.

**Desirable**:

- Prior experience working with dealers and customers on machine sales issues.
- Demonstrated experience in large commercial deal management.
- Mining industry and product knowledge.
- Project management experience.
