**Full Job Description**

**Position: Security Officer (Healthcare)**

**Location: Various healthcare facilities across metro and regional Western Australia**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a professional demeanour and effective communication with hospital staff, carers and patients.
- Follow instructions from clinical staff, identify behaviours of concern and take prompt actions to avert unpleasant situations.
- Safeguard clinical staff, patients, and fellow colleagues from potential harm.
- Respond calmly and effectively to patients displaying aggressive behavior.
- Employ de-escalation strategies and techniques and demonstrate robust mental resilience in challenging situations.
- Willingness to work in a demanding environment across various hospital departments including Trauma, ICU and Mental Health Units.
- Document and report observations and incidents in accordance with company and policies, including shift reports and incident reports.
- Maintain mental and physical fitness for a 12-hour shift.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Valid WA Security Officer license. (Manadtory)
- Valid First Aid certificate. (Manadtory)
- Working With Children's Check card. (Manadtory)
- Right to work in Australia. (Manadtory)
- Experience in healthcare security. (Highly desirable)
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Minimum 3 year security experience.
