This is a great opportunity to shape and grow a current engineering hub from the ground up and take ownership of CPP’s greenfield WA primary engineering function, setting the vision, culture and capability for long‑term success.

Responsibilities

Build and lead CPP’s Perth Secondary Engineering and Design team, establishing the WA Secondary Design function from the ground up.

Oversee the primary design of high‑voltage substations and associated infrastructure, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Foster a collaborative, high‑performance environment and deliver innovative, high‑quality solutions for a growing portfolio of work in Western Australia.

Lead and grow a team of engineers and drafters, shaping culture and standards to support ongoing project delivery.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent.

Chartered status and BLA (or the ability to achieve upon commencement).

10+ years’ experience at a senior level, including substation design and/or utility grid connections.

Proven experience in primary design and engineering, with knowledge of civil, structural, and overhead line design.

Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high‑performing, team-oriented teams.

Strong understanding of industry standards and client requirements; experience with renewable grid connection projects in Australia.

Based in Perth or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available).
