Paid Accounting Internship: Analyze & Support Finances Perth

Role Responsibilities

Assist in daily accounting operations and report preparation. Input financial transactions in accounting software. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and reconcile bank statements and reports. Help maintain the general ledger and financial records. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Support the preparation of tax filings and compliance. Provide support during audits and financial reviews. Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects. Engage in learning opportunities to enhance professional development. Develop and maintain spreadsheets for tracking expenses. Coordinate with vendors for invoice processing. Participate in financial reporting initiatives. Provide administrative support to the accounting team.

Qualifications

Pursuing or completed a degree in accounting or finance. Strong understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Solid organizational and time management skills. Problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to tasks. Knowledge of financial reporting standards. Familiarity with data entry processes. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security. Ability to adapt quickly to current systems and procedures. Previous internship experience in accounting is a plus. Willingness to learn and develop current skills. Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to the team.
